As a photographer and an artist, I love to play, experiment, learn and improve. So, I decided to start a new series called “For the Love of Photography”, where I’ll post my adventures. Come along!

It was one of those early spring days, when the warmth of the sun plants kisses on your face.  The flowers start to open and the trees reach towards the sky.  Everyone and their sister ventures outside to enjoy the glorious gift.

Sarah Lee pulled into the parking lot of Viestenz-Smith Park, pointing out the locations we would photograph.  When we pulled into the spot, we realized that Danielle and Eric had already arrived.  We set out around the park, taking pictures in the trees, on benches, and by the wildflowers.

Out of all the reasons I love engagement sessions, my number one reason has to be this simple fact: I love love.  Being around two people who are absolutely head-over-heels in love is amazing.  The joy between two people in love radiates from their inner circle and affects those around them.

We walked along the path, passing birds resting lazily in the pond.  Danielle laughed as Eric made a funny face.  The laughter was contagious; I couldn’t help smiling.  We finished up the session, pleased with all the great photos we were able to capture.

Thank you, Danielle and Eric, for letting me capture your happiness.  And another big thanks to Sarah Lee Welch for inviting me along.  View more pictures from this session on Sarah Lee’s blog.

I had the amazing opportunity to second shoot for an engagement session for Sarah Lee Welch, my new favorite photographer.  Sarah Lee is and awesome photographer (and a pretty cool person at that).  She is incredibly detail oriented and takes the time to make all of her clients look absolutely fabulous.  Sarah Lee, thanks for this opportunity and I’m super excited to work with you this summer!  Visit Sarah Lee Welch’s website: http://www.sarahleewelchphotography.com/

Paul and Alisha  were so amazing to work with.  It was a cold day, I had them trudge through the snow and to top it off, the sun was incredibly bright…but did they complain?  Absolutely not!  They’re having a winter themed wedding, so they loved having the snow for their engagement pictures.  Thanks for an amazing shoot!  I’m absolutely thrilled with the photos.
